INDIGGO

“These twins put the super in supernatural! “
“Mihaela and Gabriela are modern Renaissance women of entertainment.”

(Words4Music)

..This wildly inventive show—involving singing, dancing, time-travel, film, and a symphonic soundtrack—beckons theatregoers to the underbelly of Nuevo Entertainment.

This rare piece of visual and audio creativity was written, composed, designed, and choreographed by the Indiggo Twins—Mihaela and Gabriela Modorcea. Based on their 500-page bestseller Wicked Clone or how to deal with the evil, the musical turns the tables on tradition by telling “the story of a vampire bitten by a human being.

Go for the glam, but stay for the supernatural ambience, unique staging, and, of course, the performances: immortal."

(Griffin Miller, City Guide NY)

Mihaela and Gabriela graduated with honors from the prestigious National University of Theatrical Arts and Cinematography (UNATC) of Bucharest – specializing in theater and film Acting, where they were fortunate to study with theater and film directors Francis Ford Coppola, Roman Polanski, Andrei Serban, and Krzysztof Zanussi.

They played the leading roles in the award-winning musical “The Two Orphans” and in other theater plays. The Modorcea twins also studied Acting at Schule des Theaters “Der Keller” in Cologne, Germany.

Indiggo Twins successfully performed their Off-Broadway creation "Wicked Clone The Cinema Musical" @ The Davenport Theatre, St. Luke’s Theatre, the historic American Theatre of Actors in NYC 5 and 6 times a week following which they released their 25 “immortal” compositions with Broadway Records:

Their posters and banners graced 125 MTA subway locations while their video spots were exhibited in 50 movie theaters across NYC.

For the first time in Broadway history, identical twin sisters are starring in a musical that is entirely their creation in terms of screenplay, music composition, choreography, concept and costume design. The play involves a revolutionary cinematic installation – a fusion of epic film projections, theatrical writing of Shakespearean origin, timeless theatrical pop songs (25 compositions), an original fashion inspired by the royalty of the old Transylvanian garments, and a unique style of dance that combines exotic sensuality with hip hop, Middle Eastern, and ballet elements. The Wicked Clone play features a symphonic dramatic soundtrack of 1 hour and 30 minutes that is composed, arranged and produced by Gabriela Modorcea, reminiscent of a Charlie Chaplin film score or a Franco Zeffirelli’s film.

The Cinema Musical is a new genre that the twin sisters created – a unique blend of musical theatre and film that transports the audience to heights that they never reached before.

Gabriela guest-starred on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit as well as she appears as Taj's sister in the National Lampoon's Van Wilder: The Rise of Taj.

Mihaela and Gabriela appeared together in the 2009 Russian/American film No Love In The City.

The twins guest starred on The Tyra Banks Show, on TMZ (FOX), The Happy Hour (FOX Business) and “Hair Battle Spectacular” (Oxygen).
